Brookline Model United Nations, or BrookMUN is the yearly conference hosted by the Brookline High School Model United Nations club (BHSMUN) for middle school students, both within the MidMUN program and without. This should be viewed as an opportunity to interact with your peers from other Brookline schools in a Model UN setting. Furthermore, this is a great time to test out all that you’ve learned over the course of a year of MidMUN instruction and practice. Currently set for May 11th, the conference will run from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, and will take place entirely in Brookline High. There will also be time to tour BHS with a knowledgeable current student, and get a glimpse of what Model UN in high school will be like. This conference will require $20.00, though this number is subject to change, and partial or full scholarships are available. Unlike MSMUN, BrookMUN will be handled on a school-by-school basis. In the case that there are more applicants than spots for this conference in the district, we will make decisions in a need-blind fashion.
Middle School Model United Nations, or MSMUN is a conference hosted by the United Nations Association of Greater Boston, or UNAGB. This organization, founded almost 70 years ago has consistently held conferences of a rare quality that offer delegates an immersive experience in United Nations and global politics. This conferences, held at Northeastern in November test delegates early in the year, but also offer them an opportunity to grow as both public speakers, and globally minded individuals. This conference will require $60.00 from all delegates, though this number is subject to change, and partial or full scholarships are available. This conference will be booked and handled as a single district program. In the case that there are more applicants than spots for this conference in the district, we will make decisions in a need-blind fashion.
