MidMUN was started almost 10 years ago by BHS students to bring Model UN to the middle schools of Brookline.
Brookline High School Model UN endorses a few conferences for middle school students. This year, delegates from across Brookline will attend these conferences.
Welcome to Middle School Model United Nations (MidMUN) 2016-2017! MidMUN is a program started almost 10 years ago by BHS students to bring Model UN to the middle schools of Brookline. Originally, the MidMUN program was a grand name for the Devotion Model UN program, but as years went by other schools began to develop their own programs. This year, we are proud to announce that there is a Model UN program available to students of seven out of eight of the Brookline middle schools!
Though the programs at each individual school are slightly different from one another, there are a few unifying characteristics. Each program is led by a BHSMUN member, as well as a faculty advisor. Each club has between 10-25 members, and meets once a week after school. In club-debates will be held during these meeting times, in addition to preparation for conferences. This year, we are proud to offer two conferences for our delegates, with the possibility for a third. The first will be held at Northeastern in November, and the second will be held at BHS in the spring.
Below this letter you will notice seven bubbles, each of which contains a Brookline middle school. Please select your school, and look through your page for more information about your advisors and topics. It is a good idea to check this multiple times a week, as new information about topics for the next meeting will be updated there.
