We have lots of important updates this week. First, BrookMUN is this Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm. Formal staff positions have already been assigned, but if you have not yet signed up but would like to help out, we can always use more people. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you are available and would like to be a part of this exciting event!
Next, in order to prepare, we will be meeting twice after school this week: Tuesday and Friday in room 385. We will be prepping materials for the conference: stuffing folders, preparing name tags, printing and folding placards, etc. We will probably work from 3 pm to about 3:45 on Tuesday, and about 2:15 to 3 pm on Friday, depending how many people show up. Even if you are not currently planning to help out the day of the conference, we would love to have you at one or both of these prep sessions! It will be lots of fun and everyone is welcome.
If you are staffing BrookMUN, please come to club meeting during X block on Thursday. We will be going over important logistics concerning the day of the conference.
As the end of the year approaches, it is time to start thinking about club positions for next year. The positions available are Chair, Undersecretary-General, and Secretary-General. Secretaries-General are appointed by the current Secretaries-General. On the other hand, Chairs and USGs are elected through voting during club meeting, which will occur in the next few weeks, date TBD. If you would like to run for any of these three positions, please send an email to email@example.com stating the positions you would like to run for and why you feel you are a good candidate. Please note that you may run for more than one position.
